Location

A natural growth point

Located on the main transport routes between London and the continent, Kent’s county town is ideally placed to reach local, regional, UK, European and world markets.

Maidstone is just 35 miles from the City of London and 35 miles from the channel ports and tunnel.  With four motorway junctions in the borough, travelling into and out of the town is easy from any direction.

London’s major airports at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted are all within easy reach of Maidstone. London City operates services to European cities.

Kent's ambitious new regional airports at Manston (Kent's International Airport) and Lydd (London Ashford Airport) are on Maidstone's doorstep, providing freight as well as passenger transport opportunities.

Travelling to Paris, Brussels and other European destinations is now faster and simpler than ever via the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL), which can be joined at nearby Ashford or Ebbsfleet.

The map below shows Maidstone's connections to London, the South East, airports, trains, seaports and Europe.  Click on the map to enlarge.

Maidstone also supports an excellent public transport network, with railway stations and bus services providing good links to the local area and beyond.
