Maidstone has been placed among the 'top 5' locations for retail yields in the South East of England. With a retail spend of circa £680 million per annum estimated by Experian, it is comparable to Oxford and due to overtake Guildford by 2017.

With the completion of Fremlin Walk in 2005, as well as The Mall, Royal Star Arcade and other niche locations, Maidstone has a varied supply of retail units to suit the needs of major nationals, through to smaller independent traders.
