Lifestyle

For all the good things that living in Maidstone has to offer

Maidstone has much to offer those who live here. The town straddles the banks of the River Medway and lies within beautiful Downland countryside and charming Kentish villages. Brenchley Gardens, Mote Park and the Maidstone Millenium River Park (a 10km stretch of landscaped open space, public art and luxury riverside apartments) make up what is popularly referred to as Maidstone’s ‘green lungs’.

The Borough is also conveniently located for travel around the UK and trips to continental Europe, with journeys measured in minutes rather than hours via the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone, Dover ferries and nearby Ashford and Ebbsfleet's Eurostar services (with connections to Paris in just 2 hours).

The town centre offers a larger shopping area than Bluewater with all the main High Street stores and many independent shops.  Parks and gardens are close by enabling easy access to pretty countryside and cultural events.  Maidstone, being the county town, has a colourful history as well as an excellent theatre and is known as the 'nightlife capital of Kent'.
