New Hospital for Maidstone

A £78 million investment is being made for a new Hospital at Newnham Court, near Grove Green.  The hospital will be open for both private and NHS patients ...

and will have highly specialised sectors within cardiology and neurology.

Other clinical services will include ear, nose and throat, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynaecology, orthopaedic surgery, pain management and many other sectors.
The finance is currently being finalised and ground works should be able to start in this summer with an expected opening to the first patients during the Summer of 2013.
 
Maidstone Borough Council's Economic Development Manager John Foster said the scheme would bring "huge investment and high-quality jobs with the potential for other businesses to cluster round it".
 
The Kent Institute of Medicine promises a "one-stop" shop approach, whereby a consultant can book a complete treatment pathway from outpatients through the treatments to the aftercare arrangements both in the hospital and at home.
