Through a partnership with SuRCaSE Business Link are able to offer a limited number of businesses a free water audit. Any interested companies, primarily in the commercial and light industrial sectors and with between 4 and 250 employees,  should contact Business Links customer service team on 0845 600 9 006.

A Grants Support Directory is available on the Business Link website here it offers businesses a database of grant and support schemes from central and local government and private organisations to help with starting up and developing businesses.

The Budget this year saw a major change to the rules governing the Small Firms Loan Guarantee (SFLG) and with effect from 1st April 2008 the 5 year rule relating to the age of the business is no longer applicable to new loan applications. This will allow many more businesses with a turnover below £5.6m to benefit from the scheme. Click here for more information.

MentorsByNet seeks to explore the potential for developing and encouraging individuals to grow their business, help to realise new business ideas and ventures. The Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) is an awards scheme staged and produced by Kent County Council and The KM Group to recognise and reward excellence in Kent's businesses. Nominations are now open until 5pm on the 13th March with the award ceremony taking place at Leeds Castle on Thursday 2nd July 2009.
