Developers, Develica Franthom, are building the new units at Equilibrium Parkwood a number of which are owned and managed by Maidstone Borough Council. Parkwood is a well-established industrial estate south of Maidstone. The proposed council-owned units will have their own unique identity and be attractively sized and priced for new business ventures wanting to hit the ground-running. Maidstone Borough Council has a history of helping start-up businesses at Parkwood and these units are the ‘next generation’. Offered on easy-in/easy-out terms and uncomplicated leases, the brand new business units, ranging from 980–1,500 sq ft. are affordable with deals being offered at 35% below ‘market rent’ for an initial three-year period.
