Towergate staff are celebrating two top business awardsMaidstone-based Towergate Partnership, Europe's largest independently owned insurance intermediary, has won the award for Best Management Team of the Year in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 for 2007. |

And, for the second year running, it has also been named as 2008 UK Private Company of the Year by readers of ACQ Finance Magazine. The Sunday Times Fast Track ranks Britain's top private companies with the fastest growing sales over the last three years. During this time the management team at Towergate has been responsible for significant growth in sales, resulting in a £166 million profit figure for 2007. Peter Cullum, executive chairman of Towergate Partnership said: "To be recognised by leading figures within the financial world is extremely satisfying and reaffirms our position as a leading player within the insurance world." The firm, founded by Mr Cullum in 1997, also has additional Kent offices in Sevenoaks. Towergate moved to Maidstone in 1998 and has remained committed to the county, firmly believing in its strategic location and good motorway links.
