Brachers in the communityMaidstone-based solicitors, Brachers, are keen to support the local community in the town, and the Kent community at large. |
|
The firm already has a well established relationship with the Heart of Kent Hospice, making donations via the Brachers charitable trust, encouraging staff participation in fundraising events and partner commitment through pro-bono work. Brachers has also recently become a 'Corporate Champion' for the Kent People's Trust, a charity dedicated to reducing crime through education, and creative crime prevention programmes. During 2008 the firm will be further developing its corporate social responsibility programme. It is actively looking at a number of opportunities with its charity partners and through sponsorship of local sports and arts event. The main aim is to give partners and staff greater opportunities to interact more fully with the community, while enabling these worthwhile events to take place. As the firm continues to flourish, the desire to give something back to the community has grown - the charitable trust supports a variety of other good causes and projects nominated by partners, staff and clients. In line with Maidstone's commitment to environmental sustainability, Brachers are also looking to launch a sustainability strategy designed to increase environmental awareness, minimise waste and reduce the firm's "carbon footprint".
