Grants for Maidstone investorsInvestors in Maidstone can take advantage of business grants. |
The grant scheme is funded by SEEDA and delivered by Finance South East in the South East region, and is aimed at businesses moving into or expanding within the SEEDA region which are serving regional, national and international markets. In the Maidstone area, companies looking to expand, increase their productivity or introduce a new product into the market could qualify for up to 20% of the eligible capital costs of their project. All grants are awarded on a discretionary basis and the level of potential assistance depends upon company size, location, eligible project expenditure, number of skilled jobs created and project quality. Grant for Research and Development (GR&D) is available for small and medium sized enterprises, and is also funded by SEEDA and delivered by Finance South East throughout the South East region. It aims to help start-ups and SMEs carry out research and development work on technologically innovative products and processes. The scheme is focused on encouraging businesses to carry out projects that they would not necessarily undertake without the grant, and lever into these projects finance from otherwise reluctant private investment sources. There are currently four types of project that are eligible for GR&D: Micro, Research, Development and Exceptional. All grants are awarded on a discretionary basis. Next step.
